St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, “the White Church on the Hill in the Heart of Northford,” is the proud home of the Food Pantry of North Branford (FPNB). Opened in 2015 in the lower level of St. Andrew’s Parish Hall, FPNB is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, supplying free supplemental food for over 150 families in need in North Branford and Northford.

FPNB is a member of the Connecticut Food Bank, which allows them to obtain food at a significantly reduced fee or for free. Additionally, many donations are received regularly from the community. FPNB also partners with Big Y for food donations. Local farms, including Ceccarelli Farms in Northford, regularly donate fresh produce in season.

St. Andrew’s also supports St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen and Amazing Grace Food Pantry, both located in Middletown. St. Andrew’s, along with the other two Middlesex Area Cluster Ministry Network (MACM), St. James, Higganum and Emmanuel, Killingworth, prepare and serve Sunday Supper several times per year at the Soup Kitchen. MACM churches supply the Food Pantry year round with peanut butter and other needed food items, as well as supplying Christmas gifts such as socks and chocolates.

In addition, St. Andrew’s supports those in need in Northford and North Branford through the North Branford Social Services Department’s Thanksgiving and Christmas meal baskets.
